Pasagshak River Cabin Rental
To Reserve Today, email smokey.stanton@yahoo.com or call or text 805-794-0919

This small cabin sits on the Pasagshak River in the community of Pasagshak Bay.  It is 40 miles ( 1-hour drive) from the town Kodiak, may be reached by car or float plane.  The cabin is rustic, but very comfortable.  It has electricity and heat is supplied by Toyo stove.  You can cook on a small gas range with an oven.  There is a 10 cu ' refrigerator/freezer, as well as a 1 cu ' chest freezer.  We supply a variety of dishes, pots and pans, and silver ware,  but many guests prefer to bring disposables to avoid washing dishes.

The plumbing is strictly out doors, and consists of an outhouse and rain water charged cistern with a sink for hand and dish washing.   However we don't recommend it's use as drinking water, so you will need to bring your own.  The cabin has a living/kitchen area, with a futon, a bedroom with a queen size bed, a small bedroom with bunk beds, and a porch in front with a closet for hanging wet gear.

The fishing in the river just 20 steps from the cabin door, can be spectacular. . . or not.  It is the best fishing hole on the river.  However, salmon can not be depended upon.  They come when they please, and bite when they feel like it. Dolly Vardin trout and all species of Salmon (except Kings) run up the river past the cabin.   Cabin guests have caught tons (literally) of fish right in front of the place.

Wildlife in the area include whales, seals, sea otter, foxes, deer, mountain goats and bison.  And yes,  Kodiak bears, and although they are (usually) quite wary and seldom seen in our area, they are around.

If you are interested in staying, email smokey.stanton2019@gmail.com or call or text 805-794-0919.  I won't reserve the cabin until I've spoken on the phone with the person who will be renting (or translator for foreign guests).  If you have questions please  call.  I realize that is so 20th Century, but I'm an old timer and hate typing.
